Our Vision The St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Aynor, SC has a vision of being a church under the leadership of Jesus Christ, serving as a community with miraculous expectations. It will be a missionary focused congregation, led by a local pastor. It will minister in obedience to The Great Commandment – “…that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another” (John 13:34-35); and, The Great Commission – “go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28:19-20). It will be focused on the unsaved and unchurched with a goal of growing from 60 members in 2015 to 150 members by the year 2024. This growth in membership will go beyond mere numbers toward discipleship; and, will seek to include all sorts and conditions of people, bringing joy to those who are reaching out and to those who are reached. Our focus at St. Elizabeth will be on discipleship, sharing the gospel with others, and the transformation of lives as modeled by Jesus Christ. In addition, a new sanctuary will be constructed by June 2024 coming through pledge contributions from 2015 to 2024 from current and former members, local businesses, and the public. This new sanctuary will be the welcoming arms to the body of Christ, utilizing ministries to satisfy the needs of its members; but also, those of people outside the church, especially to the unsaved and unchurched. This new vision will be achieved through the rich power of the Holy Spirit working in and through each member at St. Elizabeth; and, through the promise of grace as outlined in Romans 8:28 – “…all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
