Baptism & Membership

Baptism is an act of obedience to the command of Christ, fulfilled by individuals who have submitted themselves to His right to lead their lives. It symbolizes God's spiritual cleaning by forgiving our sins. Going into and out of the water allows us to identify with Christ's death and resurrection - a fresh start in life He gives us Baptism provides an opportunity for believers to make a clear declaration of their faith before the church. It identifies us with the body of Christ - everyone else who follows Jesus. Because of this, it may be considered a prerequisite to becoming a member of a local church..

Why Be Baptized?

Christ told his followers to be baptized, and then to baptize others. He set the example for us.

 

You should not be baptized if:

you are doing it because someone else is doing it (do it out of obedience to Christ)

you have not yet accepted Christ as Lord and Savior

Christ followers

People old enough to make a personal decision for Christ
